Do you know why you need chemical in your hot tub and what to use? We know that there is no one wants to soak and relax in hot tub with bad quality water. So, we need to make the water clear and clean by using hot tub chemical. Chlorine is the chemical which has good effectiveness and usually used in swimming pool, but it is not recommended for use as hot tub chemical to sanitize water. The bacteria fighting properties will decrease at temperature over 80 degrees. There are other chemicals which specially intended for use in hot water and suitable for hot tub to make the water crystal clear and free from bacteria.

The good hot tub chemical should be able to remove safely these things such as tanning lotion, natural body oil, and sweat. You need to add hot tub chemical regularly on a daily basis. Check the water first before adding the chemical to keep the levels up to the desired rate. You are suggested to check and maintain the pH level at 7.2 – 7.6. In the market, you will find many brand names of products to reach this and they will give you a clue to use.

Hot tub chemical is not only about how to keep the water clean and sanitized, but you should also need a chemical to prevent the deposit of calcium and lime from building up.  There is a special hot tub chemical to break them down and flush out of your tub. While to remove lime scum, there is special hot tub chemical in paste form. Foam can be eliminated by anti foam hot tub chemical.

You see that it is very important to keep your hot tub clean and free from bacteria or water borne contaminants that will disturb your enjoyment and ruin your hot tub, you are demanded to keep it healthy by using hot tub chemical regularly.
