It is usual for hot tub filters, that when they get older, the larger particles of debris can slip through the filter and causes the hot tub pump clogged. That is because of the fibrous material of the filter stretches.

It is something important that you have to check your filter at least every four to eight weeks. It is just a simple and easy maintenance for the hot tub filters. By this, the pump of your hot tub will be kept to be in good condition.  It is better than to replace the pump of your hot tub, because the pump is more expensive than hot tub filters.
