There are two kinds of sanitizer or hot tub chemicals can be used, chlorine and bromine. Chlorine is more general used in public swimming pool. It smells unpleasant odor and may affect your skin. If you do not like it, you may try the other hot tub chemicals. It is bromine.

To obtain an optimal result in keeping the water clean and safe, the correct level of 3 – 5 part per million for chlorine and 3 – 4 part per million for bromine must be maintained. To reach this level you have to add the right amount of the hot tub chemicals to your hot tub every day. Read the instruction or usage guidance in the hot tub chemicals container before using them. You have to do it every day to prevent chlorine or bromine level will drop and the bacteria will start to develop. If this way is difficult for you to do, you may use bromine granules or chlorine tablets with floating chemicals dispenser.  You only put a few tablets of these hot tub chemicals in the dispenser and the tablets will slowly dissolve to release chlorine or bromine into your hot tub. These tablets usually need 3 – 4 days to dissolve before the next refilling.
